The first virtual reality headset was created in 1968 by American computer scientist Ivan Sutherland and his student, Bob Sproull. ‘Virtual Reality History, Applications, Technology and Future’ is a fascinating report by Tomasz Mazuryk and Michael Gervautz from the Institute of Computer Graphics Vienna University of Technology, Austria. It was published in 1996.
VR is now used in many forms of training and entertainment.
